The Secret to Writing Sales Copy That Converts (Using AI)

The Secret to Writing Sales Copy That Converts (Using AI)

How to Create Persuasive Copy in Minutes, Not Weeks

Sales copy is the difference between a product that sells and a product that collects dust.

You can have the best digital product in the world, but if your sales copy doesn’t convince people to buy, you’re not making money.

The problem? Most people have no idea how to write persuasive sales copy.

And hiring a professional copywriter can cost $5,000-$15,000.

But what if I told you that AI can write sales copy that converts just as well as the pros, and you can do it in minutes instead of weeks?

Today I’m going to show you the exact process I use to write high-converting sales copy using AI.

The Foundation: Understanding What Makes Copy Convert

Good sales copy isn’t about being clever or fancy.

It’s about:

✅ Understanding your customer’s pain points
✅ Knowing their desires and objections
✅ Crafting a message that speaks directly to those things

That’s it. If you can do that, your copy will convert.

Step 1: Get Crystal Clear on Your Audience

Before you even open ChatGPT, you need to answer these key questions:

  • Who is your ideal customer?
  • What problem are they struggling with?
  • What have they already tried that didn’t work?
  • What’s holding them back from buying?
  • What transformation are they hoping to achieve?

Once you have clarity on these questions, you can use AI to craft copy that resonates.

But if you skip this step and just ask AI to “write you a sales page,” the result will be generic and weak.

Step 2: Use a Proven Copywriting Framework

The best sales copy follows a structure that’s been tested and proven over decades.

My favorite framework: Problem-Agitate-Solution (PAS)

How It Works:

1. Problem: Identify the problem your customer is facing. Call it out clearly so they feel seen and understood.

2. Agitate: Make them feel the pain of not solving it. Paint a picture of what happens if they do nothing.

3. Solution: Present your product as the answer. Show them how it solves their problem and what their life will look like after they buy.

Why this works:

It mirrors the emotional journey your customer is already on:

  • They’re aware of the problem
  • They’re frustrated by it
  • They’re looking for a solution

Your job is to guide them through that journey and position your product as the answer.

Step 3: Use AI to Write Copy Using This Framework

Here’s an example prompt you can customize for your own product:

ChatGPT Prompt:

“I’m selling a course that teaches freelancers how to double their income by raising their rates and attracting higher-paying clients. My target audience is freelancers who are working too many hours for too little pay. They’re frustrated and burned out.

Write a sales page using the Problem-Agitate-Solution framework. Start with a compelling headline that speaks to their pain. Then describe their problem in detail so they feel understood. Agitate the problem by showing what happens if they don’t fix it. Finally, present my course as the solution and describe the transformation they’ll experience. Use a confident, empowering tone.”

What happens next:

ChatGPT will generate a complete sales page for you, including:

  • Headline
  • Opening section describing the problem
  • Section that agitates the pain
  • Section presenting your product as the solution

But Don’t Just Copy and Paste

Read through it carefully:

  • Does it sound like you?
  • Does it capture your voice?
  • Are there sections that feel too generic?

If so, ask ChatGPT to revise:

“Make the opening more conversational.”

“Add a specific example of someone struggling with low rates.”

The more you refine it, the better it gets.

Step 4: Add Social Proof and Credibility

People don’t just buy based on promises. They buy based on proof.

That’s why these are so important:

✅ Testimonials
✅ Case studies
✅ Real results
✅ Before-and-after stories

If you have testimonials from happy customers, include them.

AI can help you structure this section:

ChatGPT Prompt:

“Write a section that highlights testimonials and results. Here are three testimonials: [paste testimonials]. Format them in a way that’s persuasive and easy to read.”

Step 5: Handle Objections

Every potential customer has objections:

  • “Will this work for me?”
  • “Is it worth the price?”
  • “Do I have time to implement this?”

You need to address them head-on in your sales copy.

AI can help you identify common objections:

ChatGPT Prompt:

“What are the most common objections someone might have about buying this course, and how should I address them in my sales copy?”

ChatGPT will give you:

  • A list of objections
  • Suggested responses

You can then weave those into your sales page in a natural way.

Step 6: Create Urgency and Scarcity

People procrastinate.

Even if they want your product, they’ll put off buying unless you give them a reason to act now.

That’s where urgency and scarcity come in:

  • Limited-time bonuses
  • Early-bird pricing
  • Countdown timers
  • Limited enrollment spots

Ask AI to help you craft urgency-driven copy:

ChatGPT Prompt:

“Write a section for my sales page that creates urgency by offering a limited-time bonus that expires in 48 hours. Make it feel exciting and exclusive.”

Step 7: End With a Strong Call to Action

Your call to action is the final push that gets people to click the buy button.

It should be:

✅ Clear
✅ Direct
✅ Benefit-focused

Don’t just say “Buy Now.”

Say something like:

“Click here to enroll and start doubling your income today.”

AI can help you write multiple versions:

ChatGPT Prompt:

“Write five different call-to-action statements for my sales page. Each one should emphasize a different benefit.”

ChatGPT will give you options, and you can pick the one that feels strongest.
